Each of the women is wrestling with their own trauma - from historic abuse to recent incidents, powerplay between themselves and the men and women around them. They are all navigating life as young women in London - balancing their sexuality and desire with their need for self-protection. Cleverly structured and told over the course of one weekend, Breaststrokes will see the four women's lives overlap and interweave as they grapple with who they are in this modern world.
