I Am a Man

George Proctor aka Elvis Presley, in August 2008 undaunted by the fact that he is dying of cancer, goes to Memphis Tennessee to sing the only song he knows. On the flight there somewhere between New York and Tennessee George wakes up from a strange and disturbing dream to find himself sitting next to an ex-cop, who years before had died and rose again beneath a weeping poplar tree. From that point on, with characters past and present, George has to walk the cold streets of Memphis 1968 before he can find his own way home again. Memphis is not just about rock ‘n’ roll.
