Painted Angel

Claire works in Guildford and spends evenings with Archie, a young American sculptor. She pays for everything and is Archie's best friend, nothing more. When an impatient driver crashes into a tree, Archie senses that he can create the perfect sculpture from it. The tree is erected in his room but it remains there, untouched. Archie then disappears without an explanation. Claire is distraught at Archie's disappearance. Persuaded by her best friend, she meets her colleague Paul for a drink. But she can't let go of Archie and plots to find him. Meanwhile, Archie has realisations of his own and he has a choice to make...
