She And Her Cat

Award-winning director and author Makoto Shinkai returns with an adaptation of his very first work. On a rainy Spring day, a young woman finds a cat she would come to call Chobi outside and brings him home with her. Chobi falls in love with his owner because of her kindness and beauty. Chobi watches in awe one autumn day as She has a long conversation over the phone. She becomes depressed. Time goes on and it becomes winter, and we watch as Chobi and She move on through life. The story is brought to life through gorgeous illustrations by Makoto Shinkai, who has been hailed as the next Miyazaki.
